The Gold Sled holds any video or film camera weighing between 13 and 40 pounds and incorporates sophisticated engineering and precision machining to make it lightweight and strong. The head has a custom-designed video distribution amp installed for clear video signals, and incorporates a drop in style dovetail camera plate for quick front to back balance. The Sled has a “no-tools” Telescoping Center Post. The base for the sled accepts up to three batteries delivering 12 volts to the base (for the monitor) and either 12 or 24 volts (switchable) to the head for use with video or film cameras. |
NEWS: Exciting news. Loose Cannon Films has placed an order for a brand new steadicam. The new rig will feature a larger 2inch 'super post' and full HD SDI from top to bottom. This is to accommodate the increasing demand for HD drama/ TVCs and live television. Only six new sleds will be made initially, and Leigh has number two. Delivery is expected mid-2008. Kits include: Sled (any tape format, any film camera 12v or 24v) Vest Arm Marrell daylight green screen Panasonic LCD BFD remote focus - iris - zoom kit (Focus Tx, Iris-Zoom Tx, recievers x 2, incl remote run/stop) Heden M28 motor Palomar M1 motor Cables for most cameras VOCAS zoom / focus controller (for TV lenses) Wireless Tx and Rx (incl high gain antenna) Wireless hand-held monitors x 3 Steadicam set-up comes complete with trolley which also holds the steadicam. This means easier transport between sets and can also serve as a bench for a video split. The trolley wheels into Leigh's Mercedes van without dismantling, saving time between moves. |
